Being The Opposite Sex

            I think it is not bad if I were a female. The female is half of humanity. She is the mother, the sister, and the wife. I have never thought about being the opposite sex before. However, if I were a female, I would be the kind of woman that I like as a man. One of the aspects that I like in women is modesty. I like the woman when she is modest because I think that is one of the big differences between men and women. Also, the characteristics of the female are different from the characteristics of the male. Therefore, I would like to be an ideal woman that differs in characteristics from the man. These days, men and women became the same in everything. In addition, it is hard sometime to distinguish a man from a woman. However, I prefer being a man to being a woman even though they both have advantages and disadvantages. One of the advantages of bring a man is that you don’t have to worry that much about your appearance. Women always try to be beautiful while it is not that important for the man to be beautiful. In general, either if I were a male or female, I would be satisfied with what the god created me.

Thomas Edison

If I had the chance to choose someone to have dinner with, I would choose Thomas Edison. Thomas Edison was a great inventor. He invented more than one thousand invention that greatly influenced life around the world. One of his inventions that have made our life easier is the electric light. Because I admire this person, I would love to invite him to my modest home. I want to show him how his invention has influenced people’s life. I want to see his reaction when he sees his invention used almost in every house in the world. Also, I want to ask him about how did he come up with all his ideas and inventions. Moreover, I want to ask about his patience when he made over 100 attempts to make the electric light. In addition, I want him to give me some advice to help me to be effective in the world just like him. I really admire this person, and it would be my honor to invite him to my home.

Smart and Ugly OR Dumb and Beautiful

I think being very smart but ugly is better than being dumb but beautiful. If I were smart, I can make the people like me even if I were ugly. In contrast, if I were dumb, I can't make people like even if I were beautiful. Maybe I could have friends because I'm beautiful, but they won't be true friends. They just like me because what I look like. However, I want to have friends that like me because of my intelligence not because of my appearance. Also, I want to be effective in my life, and I can’t do that just by my appearance. I have to be intelligent to reach my goals and to be what I want to be.
